The First Meeting of the Branch of the “Bolashak” Association for Atyrau Region Was Held
The first meeting of the branch of the “Bolashak” Association for the Atyrau region was held on March 16, 2017. Association’s activities were presented during the meeting, and issues of implementing youth policy in the region were discussed as well. The Board of Trustees of the “Bolashak” branch was appointed and further prospects of the Association were discussed.
Zhumatay Salimov, General Director of Centrasia Trade, a member of the Board of the Bolashak Association, was elected as a chairman of the Board of Trustees, Katima Tusayeva became the branch’s director.
This is a fifth branch opened in the regions of Kazakhstan. Nowadays the structural subdivisions of the “Bolashak” Association are actively working in the cities of Uralsk, Almaty, Petropavlovsk and Kokshetau.
“More than 300 graduates of the Bolashak program live and work in Atyrau. We hope for the active support of all graduates and encourage the region to actively join the work of our Association. Today, the “Bolashak” Association represents the interests of more than 12 thousand scholarship holders of the program. For the years of activity of our organization, more than 100 major social projects have been implemented,” said Bakhtiar Maken, Acting Chairman of the Council of the Association, a deputy of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Bolashak branch in Atyrau plans large-scale events in four key areas: support and development of entrepreneurship, knowledge transfer, charity and promotion of healthy lifestyle.

As previously noted by Bakhtiyar Maken, the activities of our organization are directly connected with the state programs of Elbasy (President Nazarbayev), including the “Kazakhstan 2050” Strategy.
We are faced with an ambitious but realizable task, to enter the 30 developed countries of the world. The share of small and medium-sized businesses in the country’s economy should double by 2050, reaching 50 percent. Obviously, the achievement of this ambitious goal is possible only with the consolidation of the efforts of business and the state.
The Association also acts as a partner and co-organizer of large-scale, international forums and conferences.
For example, in 2015 the “Bolashak” Association was a partner of the international conference Techconnect, which was held in Astana. The event united more than 150 investors, founders of more than 150 best start-ups and 1,500 guests from Central Asia, the U.S., Europe and the CIS. Also there was start-up the Battle of with a prize fund of $ 25,000 at conference.
In 2016, the Bolashak Association also partnered with the final of the international contest NEWENERGY, organized with the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the eve of Astana Expo-2017.
In the final stage of the contest the best 30 startup companies were determined, which will take part in the international exhibition Astana Expo-2017.
